So, ever since I got my camera I've been out taking photos of all the cool place within about a three hours drive from my school here in Arizona. Well, I've gotten many of the far ones and I just heard of this great place to go that is just out of town. It's a 30 something mile long road, called the Senator Highway, that runs through the national forest, up and down some mountains, and then terminates in an almost ghost town. So I checked it out online and found out it was unpaved and made of packed dirt. Okay, my car can handle that, it will be dirty when done, but I can wash it. Then I find out you need a map or you might get lost. I can read maps, I'll pick one up and get on my way. Then it says that it can have occasional rough spots, water crossings, and spots with clearance issues and that anyone without a truck should not attempt the drive. Fuck! Unless I can find a friend with a jeep or something to go for a ride with me up there I can't go. If you look at my web-cam pic you'll see why my car would not be good for the drive. It's just so annoying. I've driven for hours at a time, and for countless miles just to take pictures and one of the supposedly coolest places is right in my backyard and inaccessible to me.

I have finally saved up enough money to buy a new camera that will actually take photos worth looking at, along with a tripod and stuff like that. I got myself a Sony Cybershot DSC-W80. I hope it's worth it because I am now broke. I can't wait to take it out and put it to some good use.
